Tennessee Earns a D+ for Reproductive Rights

NARAL Pro-Choice America has released its "Who Decides: The Status of Women's Reproductive Rights in the United States" information for 2007, and given Tennessee a grade of D+ for protecting women's reproductive autonomy. A run-down of the state's laws that affect this grade are provided on the site.

Profiles for other states are available here. A complete list of state grades is available as a PDF.
States earning an F are Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Pro-woman politicians may want to rethink that whole "flyover states" thing.

States earning a grade of A- through A+ are: Alaska; California; Connecticut; Hawaii; Maine; Maryland; Montana; Nevada; New Jersey; New York; Oregon; Vermont; Washington.
